Many students and staff at Spectrum High School dressed up for Halloween. Four of those people shared some background information on their costumes.
Chemistry teacher Jason Ruzek dressed up as a 1974 Sky Blue AMC Hornet. A friend of Ruzek’s had owned the car before it got wrecked, but it was a very important part of his life. After the car got wrecked, Ruzek went to the junkyard to grab a certain special item; the headpiece. Ruzek mentioned that he’d tape the piece to his forehead in casual settings, but on his chest in more professional ones.
Couples also have special things they do for Halloween. Tenth grade lovers Tegan Erickson and Colin Connolly did a couples costume. Erickson was Padme and Connolly was Anakin Skywalker. The two bought the parts to their costume and had a lot of fun with it. Connolly and Erickson chose this costume because Connolly showed Erickson a lot of Star Wars movies, and they both like these movies a lot.
Lyla Burney, a Ninth grader at Spectrum High School, dressed up with her little brother for Halloween. The two love the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, so they wanted to dress up as hobbits. Their grandmother made cloaks and they went and bought wigs. On Halloween, they rocked their costumes and had a great time.
