Throughout the community, The USC Ice Bucket Challenge has made a storm of positive affects. this challenge is in support of mental health where people get a bucket of ice and dump it on their heads in support of mental health awareness, after one records and posts this video, the nominate three more people to spread it more around the area. leading to a big amount of support for mental health thought the community.

Addie Pinz says, “I think that the biggest benefit on the community is that people in our school and people in other schools have come together to spread awareness of this mental illness and make sure that people are okay and that people aren’t suicidal and aren’t like mentally ill.”
Even people that don’t know about what the cause is are unintentionally supporting it thought the nominations for this challenge.
Tegan Erickson states as her reasoning for participating in the challenge “well I think it’s important to just spread awareness for it and also like, there’s a difference between just doing it because you know that everyone else is doing it kind of thing, it’s important to spread awareness for it and get people to donate because that was the hole point of the cause, was to spread awareness and then to donate to the cause that they were supporting. So like when I recorded mine I kind of mentioned that to make sure you weren’t just doing it for the views you were doing it for the message and the purpose of the challenge and its entirety.”
this challenge has been a great way to spread awareness throughout the community and a great way to bring people together in support of a good cause.
