Sting volleyball raises money for cancer
November 14, 2022
Spectrum High School’s volleyball program runs Dig Pink which happens every year.
Our volleyball team puts this event on to help raise money and awareness for those with breast cancer during breast cancer awareness month. Each October they partner with a person or organization to help those with cancer. Addison Whebbe, a freshman varisty player said “For volleyball, dig pink is a way for us to help either players that have a family member that has cancer and we raise money to help them with medical bills, to procedure or certain things to help them get better. This year we raised money for breast cancer research so they can help figure out how to like cure it. So, it’s a way for like school to get together and help out people.”
In the end we were able to win the game and help out those in our community, it was a fun event and a great game to watch.
